Courses
Golf Normandie Côte d’Albatre
Situated midway between Dieppe, Etretat and Rouen, the modern course is a welcome addition to the outstanding list of courses in Normandy’s Pays de Caux. The course measures 6,715 yards from the back tees and is par 72. Whilst it is a genuine parkland course it has the appearance of an inland links with rolling fairways and tall links style rough.
Golf Barrière de St. Julien, Pont l’Eveque
Close to Pont l’Evêque, this traditional style course winds through the delightful Pays D’Auge countryside. There are two courses and Le Vallon is the championship course where various ponds and lakes make for good water hazards, and well placed bunkers are there to catch the wayward. Following your round you can relax in the converted clubhouse.
Golf de Cabourg le Home, Cabourg
The Cabourg le Home-Varaville golf course has all the charm and magic of a century-old golf course , set in the heart of the Côte Fleurie. There are 8 links style holes and 10 which run inland making the perfect mixture which will offer you an enjoyable challenge, whatever the conditions. Don’t miss the 19th hole, where a warm and friendly welcome awaits you.
Golf de Deauville St Gatien
Between picturesque Honfleur and elegant Deauville, this 27 hole parkland course is surrounded by forests with superb, open views of the Seine estuary. Half the course is in the valley, while the back nine holes are on higher ground and beautifully landscaped. The magnificent timber framed clubhouse is a former 18th century cider mill and offers a warm welcome to all visitors.
Golf Club du Champ de Bataille, Le Neubourg
In the grounds of a magnificent Louis XIV château, Champ de Bataille meanders through valleys and skirts lakes, all the while bordered by ancient trees and colourful rhododendron bushes. This beautiful course has been compared to Wentworth and Woburn, is renowned for its condition and has some truly memorable holes – making it one of the finest in the region.
Golf de Beuzeval, Houlgate
The lower part of this hilly course winds through typical Normandy river valley whilst higher up on the ridge there are wonderful views over the Channel. Dating back to 1980, and designed by none other than Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, this is a course that has always extended a warm welcome, especially to the many British golfers that come back time and again.
Golf de Caen, Le Vallon
Laid out, like many of the new generation of French courses, by English architects (Fred Hawtree in this case), Caen is an interesting combination of hills and woodland which makes it particularly picturesque. It boasts top quality, undulating greens and is set in gently rolling contryside just a few miles north of the city, so only a few minutes from the ferry terminal at Ouistreham. Suits mid to high handicappers.
